*You might be wondering why a someone like me—a random gaijin—is making Japanese Teaware? Honestly, I've asked myself this question many times—to the point this project almost didn't happen. All I can tell you is that for some reason Japanese Tea and the art of making Teaware for it fascinates me and gives me comfort already longer than a decade. I gained much of my knowledge about the fine details of Japanese Tea production and taste notes working at Kettl, New York, in 2019. My ceramic training started at Earthworks in New York in 2016. I've been expanding my ceramic knowledge at ShiroOni residency in Japan in 2023 and at different studios here in Amsterdam since 2019.
